A planning reference, not a promise of results

Use the tool to compare options, then check the crop page, current local conditions, product labels and official restrictions.

Scope

The service provides general editorial information for a New Zealand home food garden. It does not inspect the site, identify a cultivar, test soil or water, diagnose a condition or replace qualified local advice.

Your decisions and safety

You remain responsible for site safety, structural loads, electrical and water hazards, allergies, edible-species identification, current restrictions and suitable materials. Use clearly labelled, traceable seed or healthy transplants and check current MPI plus relevant regional biosecurity requirements before importing, ordering or moving plants, seed, soil or growing media. If a pesticide is considered at all, check current EPA controls, the complete product label and any relevant council restriction; the project does not diagnose a problem or prescribe a treatment.

Evidence and corrections

Draft status, dates, sources and review scope are part of the content. A source can change or become unavailable. Report suspected errors so the affected rule and review status can be reassessed.

Permitted use

You may access the current tool for lawful personal use. You must not:

  • circumvent security controls or interfere with availability;
  • present a result as a certificate, professional report or project guarantee;
  • remove attribution or republish the editorial corpus in bulk as your own;
  • use the service to promote unsafe, unlawful or misleading conduct.

External links and proportionate limits

External links identify evidence or further context. The project does not control their availability, later content or privacy practices.

Any limitation is read only as far as applicable law permits. Mandatory consumer, privacy, accessibility and other rights remain unaffected.

Operator, contact and changes

The legal notice identifies the responsible person and publication blockers. Material changes are dated and may require renewed review. Terms last updated 3 August 2026.
